Readet List

On the last post I mentioned that one of the wonderful things about WW is the fact that she is well read. Also that I would have to expand my library. I have always had books on my readet list. What is a readet list you ask? Simple a bucket list of books you want to read before you die. (Yes I know morbid) My readet list has always been host to classics but only fiction. When faced with facts I tend to zone out unless I am really trying to learn or pass a test of some kind. So I have been looking into the kinds of books that I should add.
The books I have read so far.
The Sookie Stackhouse Vampire mysteries. – Don’t care they are great
Bram Stokers Dracula – I am sensing a theme….
Harry Potter series – the theme is nerd
The Hobbit
Alas Babylon – check it out. Awesomsauce
Chicken soup for the soul – honestly who hasn’t
King Lear
Romeo & Juliet
Animal Farm
1984 – I was in advanced classes. It was required.
Brave New World
Alice in Wonderland
Through the Looking Glass
To Kill A Mockingbird
Death of a Salesman
Oedipus Rex
A Raisin in the Sun
Island of the Blue Dolphins
The Chocolate War
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
Heart of Darkness
As I Lay Dying. – One of my favorites. I actually found an early edition at a used book store. Quality wasn’t worth collectable status but it made me happy.
The adventures of huck fin
The crucible
The diary of Anne Frank – I read this and then the school did its holocaust week in history. The videos sent me over the edge and I cried.
Mary Shelleys Frankenstien.
The Tempest
Psycho, 2 &3 – Yes there were sequels and yes it was written
Hellfire
The Giving tree
Shell Silvertein’s poems
Dr. Seuss
I am Legend – In this case…. The movie was better
Eragon
Eldest
Warlock
Manchild in the Promised Land – I treasured this book. It was wonderful. In fact I think I will dig it up and read it again.
The DaVinci Code – Who didn’t
The Walking Dead – I know this is a comic but it’s also my list.
Flowers for Algernon
I have to stop here because I legitimately cannot think. I don’t know how many books I have read. These are a list of notable books that have stuck with me for whatever reason. There are also books that were so terrible that I refuse to finish them.
They are
The twilight series
Well that list was easy.
I tend to be a start and stop reader so I actually tend to read several books at a time.
The books that I have on the start and stop list are:
The Portrait of Dorian Gray
The Bible – That much history has to be read
Crime and punishment
Now for the big one, (that’s what she said) I said it so it wasn’t in your system, The readet list.
This one would be too long to list correctly but here are the basics.
All the classics
All the banned (by various groups) books
Math textbooks (I am weak here)
Political Science textbooks (I am lucky that my boyfriend just happens to be a poly sci major and I can just read his books)
The Art of war.
Books or teachings written by the great philosophers and mathematicians.
Self help books. The only reason for these is to help me objectively look at myself to fix things so that I can truly become WW.
I will probably expand this list to have actual details and titles but for now a general overview of the readet list is good. I am up for suggestions as well. Let me know in comments or if you know me personally email/facebook me!
